Deposit limits
You can set a deposit limit on your account to cap how much you can deposit over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Once a limit is active, Shuffle will not credit deposits that would exceed it, even if you try to add funds manually.
To set a deposit limit: Account Settings, Responsible Gambling, Deposit Limits. Choose your preferred period (daily, weekly, or monthly) and enter the amount in your account currency equivalent. The limit activates immediately.
Increasing a limit has a cooling-off delay before it takes effect: Shuffle enforces a waiting period to prevent players from raising limits impulsively during a bad session. Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately. This asymmetry is intentional and standard across responsible operators.
Cooling-off periods
A cooling-off period temporarily suspends your ability to deposit while allowing you to continue managing your account and withdrawing existing funds. It's the lighter tool between a deposit limit and full self-exclusion.
Available cooling-off periods: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. During a cooling-off period, you cannot place new deposits but you can withdraw any balance in your account. Once the cooling-off period ends, your account returns to normal automatically.
If you feel like a cooling-off isn't enough, self-exclusion is the next step.
Self-exclusion
Self-exclusion blocks access to your account for a defined period. You cannot log in, deposit, or play during the exclusion period. Withdrawing your existing balance is permitted at the start of the exclusion.
Exclusion periods available: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed once active. You will need to wait out the full period before access is restored.
To self-exclude: Account Settings, Responsible Gambling, Self Exclusion. Select your period, confirm your decision, and the exclusion activates immediately.
A permanent account close is also available for players who decide they do not want to return. This is a final action and cannot be undone. All account data is retained for regulatory purposes; any remaining balance is returned to your verified withdrawal address.
External help: where to go if you need it
If you're concerned about your gambling behaviour, or someone else's, these organisations offer free, confidential support:
- GamblingTherapy.org: free online support for problem gambling, available in multiple languages, global reach. Chat, forums, and self-help tools at GamblingTherapy.org.
- BeGambleAware.org: UK-based gambling harm charity with a helpline (0808 8020 133), live chat, and a finder for local treatment services. Available to anyone, not UK-only, though UK services are primary.
- Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org): peer support groups with meetings worldwide.
- NCPG GamTalk (ncpgambling.org): US-based National Council on Problem Gambling, with a 24/7 helpline at 1-800-522-4700.
- GamCare (gamcare.org.uk): UK-focused helpline and counselling, also provides resources for people affected by someone else's gambling.
Signs of problem gambling
The following patterns can indicate a problem. They are not a diagnosis, but they are worth paying attention to:
Gambling with money needed for essentials. Chasing losses in the same session or the next. Lying to people close to you about gambling activity. Feeling unable to stop or cut down. Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, or low mood. Borrowing money to gamble.
- If gambling is no longer fun and has become something you feel compelled to do, that is the signal.
- The tools on Shuffle are there to use before a problem escalates, not only after.
- Self-exclusion at one site is not enough if gambling happens across multiple platforms. GamStop (gamstop.co.uk) is a UK-wide self-exclusion scheme covering all UKGC-licensed operators simultaneously. For a broader, multi-site exclusion approach, GamblingTherapy can advise on options in your region.
Underage gambling
Shuffle is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. Age is verified during the KYC process. If you suspect a minor has accessed a gambling account, contact Shuffle support via live chat immediately to freeze the account and initiate recovery of any funds deposited.
