How Limbo works
You set the bet and the target multiplier (anything from 1.01x to 1,000,000x). The provably fair hash generates a number between 1.00 and infinity, weighted so that 99% of all possible outcomes lie below 100x and the tail extends very rarely into the millions. If the rolled number is at or above your target, you win and the win pays at exactly your target multiplier. If it falls below, you lose the stake.
Win chance is exactly 99 divided by your target. At a 2x target, you win 49.5% of rolls. At 100x target, you win 0.99%. At 1,000x target, 0.099%.
Multiplier vs win chance
| Target | Win chance | Rolls between wins (avg) | ROI per round |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.10x | 90% | 1.1 | -1% |
| 1.50x | 66% | 1.5 | -1% |
| 2.00x | 49.5% | 2 | -1% |
| 5.00x | 19.8% | 5 | -1% |
| 10.00x | 9.9% | 10 | -1% |
| 100.00x | 0.99% | 101 | -1% |
| 1,000.00x | 0.099% | 1,010 | -1% |
| 10,000.00x | 0.0099% | 10,101 | -1% |
Strategy
- Bonus clearing: target 1.10x to 1.50x. High hit rate, smooth ROI curve, wagering clears predictably.
- Mid-stakes: target 2x to 5x. Reasonable hit rate, moderate variance, occasional swings.
- Lottery: target 100x to 1,000x. Most rolls lose, the wins pay big. Treat as entertainment, set a strict stop-loss.
- Martingale on 2x: double after each loss, target 2x. Classic but dangerous. 10-loss streaks happen and they end bankrolls.
- Anti-martingale on 2x: double after each win. Lower downside, lower upside. Same long-run EV.
Pros and cons of Limbo
What we like
- Cleanest game in the catalogue: one decision per round (target), instant resolution
- 99% RTP
- Provably fair
- Fastest auto-bet in the casino: 10+ rounds per second possible
- Max multiplier of one million genuinely exists, has been verified in public results
What we don't
- Visually plain; no animation drama like Crash
- Zero strategic depth: only the target choice changes outcome distribution
- High targets feel exciting but burn bankrolls fast
- Easy to over-bet because rounds are so fast
Limbo vs Crash: which one and when
Limbo and Crash share the same underlying math. Both have 99% RTP. Both let you pre-set a cash-out target. The difference is dramaturgy. Crash shows the multiplier climbing in real time, so you see how close you came on a miss. Limbo shows a single number, win or lose, instantly.
Practical takeaway. If you want fastest possible volume for wagering clearance, use Limbo. The round resolves in under a second. If you want entertainment value during the play session, Crash gives you the climbing animation and the option to manually pull the trigger early.
